Music Time at the Remund's

One of the best play groups ever. Thank you so much Sonnet. Sorry for anyone who missed it!

Sonnet made "pianos" to show the kids where the keys were.

And had the kids match their letters with the names of the notes.

We got to make our own shakers!

Sonnet was so great teaching the kids all about music.

What's more fun than making "music" with garbage!!!!

She even bought the kids recorders. What a great time!

I'm so glad for everyone who made it. I will definitely be taking Josh there to learn about animals. And you can't beat $2 adults and free kids. Not to mention the animals just roam around free and you don't have to look at them through cages.

Getting out the kinks!

I guess this fall is a trial and error period of play group.

With all the bad directions and wrong names, etc.

I'm really sorry about all that!

So hopefully next spring all the "kinks" will get worked out right!

Every time a new Chick-fil-A opens, they give away 52 free combo coupons to the first 100 people to camp out all night.

When it first started you didn't have to show up so early , but now too many people know about it. Greg showed up at about 10:45 a.m. to the last one and was #80 (or close to it).

How it works: You show up to the location, show id to prove you are 18 or older, sign sheet to get a number, then hang out all day and go to roll call when they call for it. You can't leave at all but they usually give out free food throughout the day. You can bring kids and keep them with you, they just don't count as part of the 100 who get the free coupons.

I'm so glad for all who made it. Sorry it was so hard to find!!! I hope everyone had fun. Sorry I forgot my camera so these are cell phone pics.

I didn't even think about this until we were there with the fireman in his gear. I'm so glad that we got to do this so hopefully if the kids ever need to go to a fireman they won't be scared! It is really important. We will definitely have to do this next year too!

Kids Market and Mom

I wanted to make sure everyone knew the dates of Kids Market. If you don't know what it is, it's basically a giant yard sale of good clothes, toys, books, furniture and just about anything you can think of for babies and kids plus maternity clothes. I always find great deals, especially on the last TWO days. Almost everything is 50% off the price marked. There are usually a ton of 0-9 month clothes left on this day, but the bigger sizes go fast.

No worries...

So, for those of us (maybe just me and Greg) that were worried about our Ward being changed today, I guess those worries are over, or were fruitless.... However you want to think about it. I was thinking all this morning about what would happen to our play group and it was making me sad. So good news for us!!! We are all still stuck with one another.

Days Available?

As I said in my email, I have a request to change a few days for Play Group.

If everyone can please tell me the days they have available, I would really appreciate it so that a few other kids that aren't able to come right now might get a chance to participate this Fall.
